    The Philodendron Tortum is a unique and striking variety of Philodendron known for its deeply ruffled, curly leaves that give it an almost whimsical, ornamental appearance. Native to the tropical regions of South America, this Philodendron is admired for its architectural form and unusual leaf structure. The leaves of the Philodendron Tortum are long, narrow, and highly lobed, creating a feathery texture that sets it apart from other Philodendron species. The plant’s ruffled foliage gives it an elegant, wild look, making it a popular choice for adding a touch of exotic flair to indoor spaces.

    This plant thrives in bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate lower light levels, its growth may slow, and the leaves may lose some of their vibrant green color. It prefers well-draining, slightly acidic to neutral soil that retains moisture but doesn’t become waterlogged. Like most Philodendrons, it is sensitive to overwatering, so it's essential to allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings to avoid root rot. This plant enjoys a warm environment, ideally between 65–80°F (18–27°C), and benefits from moderate to high humidity. To maintain healthy growth, you can use a humidity tray, misting, or a humidifier to create the ideal conditions, especially in drier climates.

      1. Fertilize regularly: Feed your plant with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4 weeks during the spring and summer season.
      2. Avoid Cold Drafts: This Philodendron prefers warm, consistent temperature. Avoid sudden reduced temperatures changes. 
      3. Repotting: Repot every 1-2 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix, such as peat-based or general houseplant mix, and select a pot that’s just 1-2 inches larger than the current one.

Shipping live plants back and forth can cause unnecessary stress and jeopardize the health of the plant. We encourage customers to choose carefully before placing an order. Our risk-free, 30-day customer guarantee covers cases where plants arrive damaged, dead, sick, or incorrect items were sent. We will send you a replacement plant or provide a refund.

      Can I order and receive plants during the winter?

      Yes, we ship plants year-round! Our shipments are carefully packaged to ensure we deliver healthy plants to your door every day of the year. We monitor the weather across the country and will include heat packs at no extra charge to keep your plants warm during shipping. If weather conditions are extreme (e.g., storm or severe winter), we will inform you of an updated delivery date that we believe is more appropriate.

      How can I change my order details?

      To update your order details, please contact us within 24 hours of placing your order. We care about all our customers and will like to ship the correct item to the right location. We are not held responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses. In addition, we cannot cancel orders that has already been shipped.

      If I order more than one plant, will they ship separately?

      Items apart of the same order typically ship together. In rare circumstances, the items may ship from both our Southern California and Florida greenhouses and could arrive in separate packages at different times. For these instances, once each item is shipped, you'll receive individual tracking information for each package, so you can easily track their progress.

      Where do you ship?

      We currently ship to the contiguous United States which consists of the 48 U.S. states and the District of Columbia.

      Do you offer same-day or next-day delivery?

      Unfortunately, we do not offer same-day or next-day delivery. Plants require careful preparation and packaging to ensure they arrive healthy and in optimal condition, we take the necessary time to pack them properly. This ensures that your plants are shipped safely and arrive ready to thrive.
