    The Pothos Shangri La is a bold and unique cultivar of the classic pothos family, distinguished by its dramatically twisted, crinkled leaves. Unlike the flatter leaves of more traditional pothos varieties, the leaves of the Shangri La curl and fold inward, giving them a textured, sculptural look that resembles green origami. Its vibrant green color and highly ornamental leaf shape make it a striking addition to any plant collection, especially for those looking to add boldness and uniqueness to their indoor jungle.

    With a more compact and upright growth habit than other pothos types, the Shangri La works well as a tabletop or shelf plant but can also trail gently over time. Its eye-catching structure makes it an ideal statement piece for plant lovers seeking something different but air purifying.

    The Pothos Shangri La thrives in bright, indirect light but is adaptable enough to tolerate medium to low light conditions. However, stronger light encourages healthier, more robust growth and helps maintain its signature curled leaf form. Water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry, being careful not to overwater. Like other pothos varieties, it prefers well-draining soil and pots with drainage holes to prevent root rot. Average room temperatures (65–85°F or 18–29°C) and humidity levels suit this plant well, though it will appreciate slightly higher humidity.

    Water weekly: When the top 1-2 inches of soil feel dry, typically, every 7-10 days, but always check the soil first. Avoid overwatering, as this can cause root rot. 

    Temperature

    Warm temperatures: This Pothos prefer warm temperatures, ideally between 65-85°F (18-29°C) with moderate-to-high humidity. Avoid temperatures below 50°F. 

      1. Fertilize regularly: Feed your Pothos Shangri La with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 3-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).
      2. Ideal Repotting mix: A mix with added perlite, orchid bark, or coco coir will provide good drainage and aeration while retaining some moisture.
      3. Wipe leaves regularly: Wipe the leaves down regularly to keep them clean and shiny.
      4. Provide support: As the plant grows, it may require a moss pole or trellis to support its vining growth.
